1. Almighty God by Leslie Jordan, David Leonard, and Sandra McCracken

Almighty God to you all hearts are open
Search and know our thoughts and anxious fears
Wash us in the fountain of your mercy
Come with your light, we cannot hide from you

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

2. Scripture Reading: Based on Exodus 15

“I will sing to the LORD,
for he has triumphed gloriously;
All: he has hurled both horse and rider into the sea.

The LORD is my strength and my song;
All: he has given me victory.

This is my God, and I will praise him—
All: This is my father’s God, and I will exalt him!

The LORD is a warrior;
All: The LORD is his name!

“Your right hand, O LORD,
is glorious in power.
All: Your right hand, O LORD,
shatters the enemy.

But you blew with your breath,
and the sea covered them.
All: They sank like lead
in the mighty waters.

“With your unfailing love you lead
the people you have redeemed.
All: In your might, you guide them
to your sacred home.

You will bring them in and plant them, O LORD
All: in the sanctuary that your hands have established.

3. The Lion and the Lamb by Brenton Brown, Leeland Mooring, and Brian Johnson

Our God is the Lion, the Lion of Judah
He’s roaring with power and fighting our battles
Every knee will bow before Him

Our God is the Lamb, the Lamb that was slain
For the sins of the world, His blood breaks the chains
Every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Every knee will bow before Him

4. Call to Prayer: Psalm 27

The LORD is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
All: The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble?

Though a mighty army surrounds me,
my heart will not be afraid.
All: Even if I am attacked,
I will remain confident.

The one thing I ask of the LORD—
the thing I seek most—
All: that I may live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
delighting in the LORD’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple.

For he will conceal me there when troubles come;
All: He will hide me in his sanctuary.
He will place me out of reach on a high rock.

Then I will hold my head high
above my enemies who surround me.
All: At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy,
singing and praising the Lord with music.

Hear me as I pray, O LORD.
All: Be merciful and answer me!

My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.”
All: And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.”

6. Assurance: Based on Galatians 4:4-6. Isaiah 43:2, Isaiah 46:10, and Hebrews 10:23

God sent his Son, Jesus, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his children , God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.”

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned… For I am the LORD, your God.”

Listen to me… I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born. I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.

So brothers and sisters, let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for God, our Father, the one who promised is good and faithful.

7. Good Good Father by Pat Barrett, Anthony Brown

I’ve heard a thousand stories
Of what they think You’re like
But I’ve heard the tender whisper
Of love in the dead of night
And You tell me that You’re pleased
And that I’m never alone

You’re a good, good Father,
It’s who You are, it’s who You are,
It’s who You are
And I’m loved by You
It’s who I am, it’s who I am
It’s who I am.

8. No Longer Slaves (to Fear) by Brian Johnson, Jonathan David Helser, Joel Case

You unravel me, with a melody
You surround me with a song
Of deliverance, from my enemies
Till all my fears are gone

I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
