Jamaica Photos: Student-Parent Team 2017

The 2017 Student-Parent Jamaica Team served with Won By One from June 13th – 18th.

The Crossing sent 27 students, ranging from 13-18 years old, with 29 adults/leaders.

A few quotes from team members:

“After spending a lot of time with one of the residents at the infirmary who cannot speak very clearly, she totally blew my mind when she started singing a Jamaican gospel song with complete clarity.  She then proceeded to say a brief prayer, which was also completely comprehendible.   While she may have trouble communicating, God is clearly communicating through her, she was an amazing blessing to everyone who met her.” –Darla Branda

“I loved watch God work in me and my family it was not about me…it was about the Jamaicans who helped us recognize that it was all about Him.” –Brian Wallace

“The simplicity and joy in the Lord that I saw in the Jamaicans daily. I miss that.” –Nancy Anger

“Thank you, High School Ministry, for all you do to coordinate the Jamaica trip. This was the first trip for our family. It was amazing to see all the relationships you’ve developed over the years in Harmons. We never felt like strangers and loved helping advance the mission and vision you have helped developed.” –Jim Beaty
